1V1 vs GameSync: two very different ways to get paid for playing Valorant

The comparison that matters here is not "which is better" but which fits how you play. GameSync runs scheduled 5v5 tournaments on Fridays; 1V1 runs asynchronous individual challenges on your own ranked matches. One needs a team and a time slot; the other just needs you to play. Point by point, with sources in view.

How this comparison was made. GameSync data comes from its own public Valorant page, checked on August 25, 2026. We have no access to their internal figures and we do not audit their operation. Platforms change terms without notice: if you plan to register, verify their current rules. 1V1 data is ours and reflects what is planned for the October 2026 launch.

The underlying difference

GameSync and 1V1 overlap on exactly one thing: you can end up with cash in hand for playing Valorant. Everything else differs, starting with what matters most.

GameSync is a team tournament organizer. Its page states a 5v5 double-elimination format, best-of-one matches with a best-of-three final, on Fridays at 7pm EST year-round. The captain pays a single entry for the whole team, and the event runs on Battlefy, a third-party platform that adds a 10% fee on top of the registration cost. You check in 30 minutes before the tournament and confirm each match within 10 minutes.

1V1 is not team-based. There is no bracket, no fixed time, no captain paying for you. You activate a challenge on your next ranked match, the system gives you a measurable target calibrated against your last 20 games, and if you hit it you multiply your entry. Resolution is automatic through the official Riot Games API plus the FISGO anti-cheat. You can play at three in the morning on a Tuesday.

If you have a stable five-player team and you enjoy bracket competition, a weekly tournament is more fun than an individual challenge. If you play solo, at irregular hours, or you simply do not want to depend on four other people logging in, the challenge model is the one that adapts.

Fair is fair: GameSync is running today and 1V1 is not. If you want to compete this Friday and you have a team, that is the difference that decides it. Our advantage is not being available sooner, it is the model: compete solo, on your own matches, with automatic verification and payout in your currency.

DECISION

Which one fits your case

1

You have a five-player team

And you can coordinate Friday nights. A 5v5 bracket is more of a competition than an individual challenge: GameSync fits better.

2

You play solo or at odd hours

And you want your usual ranked games to be worth something without depending on anyone else. That is exactly 1V1's model.

3

You are in Latin America

And you want to cash out in your own currency without international gateways. GameSync states North America eligibility; 1V1 covers the whole continent with local rails.

Questions about the comparison

They are different products. Per its own public page checked on August 25, 2026, GameSync runs 5v5 double-elimination Valorant tournaments on Fridays at 7pm EST, hosted on the Battlefy platform, with cash prizes paid via PayPal. 1V1 is not team-based: it runs asynchronous individual challenges on your own ranked matches, verified through the official Riot Games API, with withdrawals through local payment rails.
On GameSync, yes: its stated format is 5v5 and the team captain pays a single entry covering the whole team. On 1V1 you need no team and no schedule coordination: you activate a challenge on your own ranked match and compete against a measurable target.
GameSync states eligibility for North America. 1V1 operates across the entire American continent except a short list of excluded countries, with withdrawals via SPEI in Mexico and Yape or BCP in Peru.
GameSync states a minimum age of 13 in its eligibility rules. 1V1 is strictly for players 18 and older, with identity verification before withdrawing.
GameSync runs on Battlefy with manual reporting: tournament check-in 30 minutes before, match check-in within 10 minutes, and a coin flip to pick map and side. On 1V1 resolution is automatic through the official Riot Games API plus the FISGO anti-cheat, with no screenshots or manual reports.
GameSync is operating today with weekly tournaments. 1V1 launches in October 2026, so if your priority is competing this week and you have a five-player team in North America, GameSync is the available option. If you would rather compete solo, on your own matches, and cash out with Latin American local methods, 1V1 is what we are building.
