Cash tournaments and skill gaming in Latin America
Most skill-gaming platforms are built for North America first: they price in dollars, pay through rails that barely reach the region, and calibrate targets against professional players. This page covers which Latin American countries 1V1 operates in, how a challenge works, how results are verified, and how money actually leaves the platform in local currency.
Latin America is not the edge of our coverage, it is the starting point. 1V1 operates across the entire American continent, north to south, minus a short list of excluded countries. What makes this page different is the focus: language, currency, payment rails and regulatory frameworks specific to Latin America, which is exactly what US-first platforms handle poorly.
The launch title is Valorant, verified through the official Riot Games API. Fortnite, Warzone, League of Legends and CS2/FACEIT follow later; the current status of each one is in the guides.
Where you can compete in Latin America
Each country has its own payout route. PayPal works across the continent; Mexico and Peru add a local bank rail.
| Country | Game at launch | Payout route | Verification | Age | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 🇲🇽 Mexico | Valorant | SPEI to an 18-digit CLABE, or PayPal | Riot API + FISGO | 18+ | Dedicated page |
| 🇵🇪 Peru | Valorant | Local bank transfer, or PayPal | Riot API + FISGO | 18+ | Dedicated page |
| 🇨🇱 Chile | Valorant | PayPal | Riot API + FISGO | 18+ | Dedicated page |
| 🇦🇷 Argentina | Valorant | PayPal | Riot API + FISGO | 18+ | Dedicated page |
| 🇺🇾 Uruguay | Valorant | PayPal | Riot API + FISGO | 18+ | Dedicated page |

Timelines, exact fees and identity requirements for each route are in payments and withdrawals. Final eligibility is confirmed when you sign up.

Where we do not operate yet
These countries are out due to international sanctions or local regulatory frameworks that make the model unworkable. This is the only exclusion list.
- 🇨🇴Colombia — Coljuegos regulation
- 🇪🇨Ecuador — regulatory friction
- 🇧🇴Bolivia — tax friction
- 🇵🇾Paraguay — Conajzar / DNIT
- 🇳🇮Nicaragua — local restrictions
- 🇨🇺Cuba — OFAC sanctions
- 🇻🇪Venezuela — OFAC sanctions
The list is maintained and can change. If your country is not on it, it is covered: eligibility is verified when you sign up, not before. Background on legal frameworks is in is it legal to get paid gaming?
From your usual match to a real prize
No roster to assemble, no bracket, no waiting for an event: you play your normal ranked match.
Activate the challenge
You commit an entry in Energy and the system reveals the exact target, calibrated on your last 20 matches. From then you have a 4-hour window.
Play your ranked game
Only Competitive matches started after activation count. Unrated and Deathmatch are ignored.
It resolves itself
The official game API returns the match data and FISGO backs integrity. If you hit the target, the prize lands in your withdrawable balance.
What skill gaming is, and what it is not
The distinction is not marketing, it is the foundation of the model. In a game of chance you compete against a probability the house sets: a wheel, a price, a draw. In skill gaming you compete against a measurable target based on your own performance, verified with official match data. There are no odds and no draws because there is nothing random to compete on.
It is also not a rewards app. Rewards apps pay for screen time, for watching ads or for installing games, and the payment does not depend on playing well. Here the prize depends only on whether you hit the target. The full comparison is in skill vs gambling.
And an honest warning: you can lose your entry. If you miss the target, the committed entry stays with the house. That is what makes the prize possible for the players who do hit it.
Entries, prizes and payouts
The in-platform currency is Energy: $1 USD = 100 Energy.
| Item | Figure | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum entry | 50 Energy ($0.50 USD) | Capped at 300 Energy on a free account and 600 on Premium |
| Minimum to add funds | $10 USD | Returns 1,000 Energy |
| Challenge prize | From 2.0x the entry | Energyzed challenges reach up to 4.00x |
| Minimum withdrawal | 2,500 Energy ($25 USD) | From withdrawable balance only. Purchased balance never withdraws |
| Withdrawal fee | 0 to 300 Energy | Free on Premium, reduced from Diamond rank up |
The two balances never mix, and it is worth knowing before you play. Purchased balance is what you add yourself and it works for competing, but it never withdraws. Withdrawable balance is filled only by winning a challenge, and that one leaves the platform. This is not a hidden catch: it is what separates a skill platform from a currency exchange.
Timelines and exact fees per route and per rank are in payments and withdrawals, and the rank and benefit system is in progression and rewards.
