North America: skill gaming availability by market

North America is three very different markets for skill-based competition, not one. The format is identical in all three — same challenge mechanics, same calibration, same official-API verification — but the payout route and the eligibility picture are not. This page compares the USA, Canada and Mexico side by side so you can find the one that applies to you instead of reading a generic regional pitch.

Markets: USA, Canada, Mexico Launch title: Valorant Updated: August 2026 By: 1V1 editorial team

Worth saying up front, because most regional pages bury it: Mexico is the most developed market in North America on 1V1, not the United States. It is the only one in the region with a local bank rail rather than an international processor only, and the only one with both a country page and a country-plus-game page. That is a consequence of where the platform was built.

1V1 covers the entire American continent. This page is the North American slice of that coverage; the Latin American slice is in cash tournaments in Latin America.

MARKET COMPARISON

What differs between the three markets

The competition format is the same everywhere. These are the differences that actually affect you.

Comparison of the United States, Canada and Mexico on payout route, eligibility, dedicated pages, language and status
Market Payout route Eligibility Dedicated page Interface language
🇲🇽 Mexico SPEI to an 18-digit CLABE, or PayPal Covered, confirmed at signup Country + Valorant Spanish and English
🇺🇸 United States PayPal Depends on jurisdiction, verified at signup Country page Spanish and English
🇨🇦 Canada PayPal Covered, confirmed at signup None yet English (Spanish available)

Why Canada has no page of its own. Because there is no market-specific operational detail to publish beyond the payout route. Canada is inside the coverage area and is not on the exclusion list, but publishing a page that repeats the general terms with a maple leaf on it would not help anyone. When there is a local rail or a Canada-specific rule worth documenting, the page gets built.

IDENTICAL EVERYWHERE

What does not change by country

The parts of the product that are the same whether you play from Toronto, Dallas or Monterrey.

  • Calibration on your last 20 matches. The target comes from your own history, so your country and your rank do not make it harder or easier.
  • Verification through the official game API. No screenshots and no self-reports, anywhere. Backed by the FISGO client during an active challenge.
  • Account requirements. Level 50 or higher and at least 15 ranked matches, plus a verified Riot ID and 18+.
  • The two-balance rule. Purchased balance never withdraws; withdrawable balance is filled only by winning. Same in every market.
  • Entry and payout minimums. Entries from 50 Energy, add funds from $10 USD, withdraw from 2,500 Energy ($25 USD).
  • Server region is irrelevant. Play on NA, LATAM or anywhere else; the API reads your real matches either way.
FREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions about North America

The competition format is identical in all three: the same challenge mechanics, the same calibration on your last 20 matches and the same verification through the official game API. What differs is the payout route and how eligibility is handled locally.
Mexico. It is the only market in the region with a local bank rail, SPEI transfers to an 18-digit CLABE, instead of relying only on an international processor. It also has a dedicated country page and a country-plus-game page for Valorant.
Canada is inside the coverage area and is not on the exclusion list, with PayPal as the payout route. There is no dedicated Canada page yet because there is no market-specific operational detail to publish beyond that. Eligibility is confirmed at signup.
Because skill-based competition for prizes is regulated differently from state to state. Rather than publish a state-by-state promise that may not hold at launch, eligibility is verified at signup, before any money is involved. Detail in cash tournaments in the USA.
No. Challenges read your real ranked matches through the official game API regardless of the server you play on. What is measured is your performance, not your game region.
